Michigan State football is looking for a 'CEO' at quarterback. Here's what that means

The competition to replace Brian Lewerke began during the earliest of Michigan State football’s December practices leading up to the Pinstripe Bowl.

But Mark Dantonio did not get anyone else game reps against Wake Forest, or in the Spartans’ previous four games to close the season. And with Dantonio’s retirement and an entirely new offensive coaching staff, all of a sudden, it is a full reset for Rocky Lombardi, Theo Day and Payton Thorne.
