Michigan State football is asking for season-ticket renewals, but what happens if games are canceled?

EAST LANSING – Michigan State University will not have any in-person classes until at least the summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but its football program is operating with full hopes of a season as normal.

That's the message it sent out to season-ticket holders last week, one month ahead of the annual May 1 deadline for renewals.

In the letter, Athletic Director Bill Beekman asked that season-ticket holders still renew as normal this month in anticipation that the seven home games will operate as planned. That's a schedule that starts Sept.
