Mel Tucker added another tight end to Michigan State football’s roster a day before summer classes begin.
The name is a familiar one in Big Ten circles: Powers Warren.
The son of the Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren announced via Twitter he has arrived to East Lansing and will be joining the Spartans. A message for an MSU spokesman was not immediately returned asking if Powers Warren will be a preferred walk-on or receive a scholarship.
Warren, who was a redshirt junior at Mississippi State last fall, entered the NCAA transfer portal in November after not playing for first-year Bulldogs coach Mike Leach.
