Michigan State football adds D-II transfer Kendall Brooks, shifts start of winter workouts

Mel Tucker promised to search everywhere to change Michigan State football’s roster.

He landed another transfer from the NCAA transfer portal — the Spartans’ first from a Division II school.

A team spokesman confirmed defensive back Kendall Brooks is enrolled at MSU for the spring semester and on scholarship after the native of Swansea, South Carolina, left North Greenville University.

“The portal is part of college football,” Tucker said Nov. 17.
