The season is rolling right along and the Spartans face a tough Week 10 matchup against Maryland. Both teams boast a 5-3 record, but it could be argued that Michigan State has the upper hand because it doesn’t have nearly the same distractions that Maryland does.
In fact, Maryland head coach DJ Durkin, who had been out all season following an internal investigation because of a player’s death, was reinstated earlier in the week but after player, media and fan backlash, the university decided to fire him the next day. It’s been an interesting week for the Terrapins and you can bet the distractions have been deafening.
