Michigan State returns most of its starters from a 10-3 squad in 2017, meaning the coaching staff knows exactly where it’s going to get production. However, there’s always a group of surprise contributors which burst onto the scene and take over.
Last year it was Felton Davis III who surprised people on the offensive end, along with Cody White and Darrell Stewart Jr. On defense, Kenny Willekes shocked everyone by becoming an All-Big Ten talent and David Dowell did the same.
This season has a different feel with so many starters back, but there will still be a handful of surprise contributors.
