Looking to add another defensive back to the 2018 recruiting class, Michigan State football may just be closer to landing one of the top players in the Midwest. In fact, four-star cornerback Jairus Brents recently narrowed his list.

Brents, a Louisville-native, recently trimmed his list to 10 schools after receiving 34 offers during his recruitment. He’s one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the 2018 class.

The list is loaded with perennial contenders such as Alabama, USC, Oregon, Oklahoma and Wisconsin while Purdue, Pitt, Indiana and Kentucky also made the cut with Michigan State.
