Seniors are the centerpiece of any team. Sure, there could always be underclassmen who step up as leaders and top players, but seniors are usually always in charge of getting everyone else in line and being those vocal and statistical leaders.
Michigan State is no different and this season may be more important than any in the past decade for seniors to step up with a new coaching staff taking over.
The coaching staff has brought some energy to East Lansing, though. The Spartans did bring back Mike Tressel, Ron Burton and Harlon Barnett while bringing in some elite assistants such as Chris Kapilovic, Scottie Hazelton and Ted Gilmore who will be coaching the offensive line, defense and tight ends, respectively.
