MADISON, Wis. — Xavier Tillman pensively sat at his locker in the belly of Kohl Center, trying to figure out how everything went wrong Saturday.
The Michigan State basketball junior forward felt great in warm-ups. His shots were falling, the energy was there.
“So I'm like, 'OK, this is about to be a big night,’ ” Tillman said.
Then he went out and missed his first shot.
