In the year after Cassius Winston graduated, Michigan State basketball seemed like it was missing something. The Spartans had just lost one of its all-time greats and an elite leader along with the Robin to his Batman in Xavier Tillman. Those two were the best leaders Tom Izzo could have asked for and then COVID-19 hit and they were gone just like that.
Aaron Henry assumed that leadership role by default to start the 2020-21 season and he did a solid job of putting the team on his back but it seemed like that vocal side was lacking.
