EAST LANSING — Two games remain but capturing a second straight Big Ten regular-season title slipped through Michigan State basketball’s hands.
Coach Tom Izzo realizes his Spartans cannot look back at Saturday’s loss at Indiana or ahead to next Saturday’s finale against Michigan. Otherwise, No. 9 MSU’s mathematical chance of capturing a share of the crown will vanish.
“There’s nothing we can feel bad about,” Izzo said Monday. “We can just learn from it and figure out how to deal with it better. It’s probably strengthened our resolve a little bit, strengthened our team in some ways.
