Coach Tom Izzo’s two year “Miles Bridges” plan did not have the post-season success that he and his team wanted. The talent was there as seen by Bridges and Jaren Jackson Jr. being lottery picks in the 2018 NBA Draft but no Final Four appearances in any of the past two seasons were viewed by Spartan fans as a disappointment.
However, the foundation was built and with Cassius Winston, Nick Ward, Joshua Langford and Co. coming back for the 2018-19 season, the possibilities are endless for this upcoming season and the season thereafter. If everything goes as planned or with some slight variation of it, Michigan State will be the 2020 national champions and here is why.
