Michigan State’s basketball team has some issues. Its 79-65 loss at Northwestern on Sunday night made that clear.

Let’s agree that the Wildcats are better than realized. Their early-season schedule made them difficult to read. But this is a skilled and seasoned lineup with some sweat equity. Still, if you were to pick a starting five between these teams, you’d probably choose four Spartans before you got to a Wildcat, with Boo Buie and Pete Nance arguing otherwise.
