On top of hearing from Cassius Winston for the first time since his brother’s passing, Monday night’s win over Charleston Southern had to feel good for everyone involved.
Cassius got to address the fans and media and thank them for all the support through this difficult time. It’s something he felt like he needed to do and he probably felt a lot better for it. He addressed the media afterward and felt a sense of normality creeping back into his life.
Xavier Tillman needed a bounce-back game after going just 1-for-9 and accounting for a number of miscues and he got just that against the Buccaneers, finishing with a career-high 21 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and a block.
