EAST LANSING — Five sets of eyes focused on the green blur, Cassius Winston hunting and pecking his way deep into Michigan’s defense yet again.
No one saw Xavier Tillman cutting to the basket after the screen. No one could stop the alley-oop pass from the point guard and the dunk from the big man.
It was part of Tillman’s 20-point, 11-rebound, six-block performance in Michigan State’s 87-69 victory Sunday.
“I would hate to guard him,” Tillman said of Winston. “I would hate to guard him on a pick-and-roll, honestly, just because he can see everything.
