The Ypsilanti Lincoln forward now has a Michigan State basketball offer, according to a post on Bates’ Twitter feed Friday.
Bates is ranked the No. 1 player in the nation for 2022 by ESPN and Future150.com. He led Lincoln to a Division 1 state championship in March, capping a phenomenal freshman season in which he averaged 29.2 points and 10.2 rebounds while hitting a few game-winners in the MHSAA state tournament to help validate the hype that began before he even entered seventh grade.
