Zion Williamson’s worst nightmare has come true as Kenny Goins is joining the Western Conference with him — in the NBA Summer League.
On Friday evening, Going agreed to a deal which will make him part of the Nuggets’ Summer League team and give him an opportunity to make a roster or at least compete for a two-way contract before the 2019-20 season.
You have to applaud what Goins has done in his college career. He went from unknown recruiting commodity to walk-on, playing a role on scout team for the Final Four-bound Spartans in 2015. He then earned more playing time, and eventually a scholarship, and became a crucial member of another Final Four team in his senior year.
