EAST LANSING — It was a Magical day in the Breslin Center.

Magic Johnson and Greg Kelser were back together on the court in East Lansing on Saturday afternoon, as Michigan State basketball honored its 1979 NCAA championship team.

Johnson sat in the crowd, flashing that magical smile, as the Spartans snapped a three-game losing streak with an impressive 79-55 victory over Minnesota.

The Spartans were rebounding again, and playing tough defense again, and taking care of the ball again, and getting out on the break and defending the perimeter – all the things that were missing in different games during that losing streak.
