Michigan State basketball: Gabe Brown turning pro, bypassing extra year of eligiblity

Gabe Brown is turning pro.

The Michigan State basketball senior will not return for his extra season of eligibility and has signed with Parlay Sports agents Steve Haney and Pedro Power, Haney told to the Free Press on Saturday morning.

Brown served as co-captain and led the Spartans with 11.6 points and a plus-107 rating this season, adding 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.7 steals per game. The 6-foot-8, 215-pound swingman shot 42.8% overall and 38.2% from 3-point range, making 89.4% of his free throws.

Haney and Power currently represent NBA players Fred VanVleet, Malik Beasley, Isaiah Todd and others.
