The voters in the Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll all agree on the two top teams in the country this week. They are, however, equally divided on the order of those two. As a result, there is a tie for No. 1 between Gonzaga and Auburn.
Both the Bulldogs and Tigers received 16 first-place votes and 16 seconds for a total of 784 poll points, creating the first tie at the top since the preseason poll before the 2015-16 season when Kentucky and North Carolina started the year in a dead heat.
Auburn trailed Gonzaga by seven points in last week's poll but made up ground with wins against Missouri and Oklahoma.
