Who would have thought that at this point in Tom Izzo’s coaching career that he would still have doubters? Definitely not Spartan fans, but when you lose in the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament in three straight seasons, doubt is raised by outsiders.
Heck, some Michigan State fans have even questioned the head coach’s mindset heading into recent NCAA Tournaments and his thought process last season against Syracuse when he played Ben Carter over Jaren Jackson Jr. which contributed to an ugly loss which should have never happened.
This March, Michigan State has one of the better teams in the Izzo era and that’s not talking talent-wise.
