Michigan State athletics announces four positive COVID-19 tests among athletes

Michigan State athletics reported four positive COVID-19 tests among athletes over the past week, the school announced Friday in a news release.

No staff members tested positive.

MSU conducted 71 COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests from Oct. 29-Nov. 5, including 60 tests to athletes and 11 tests to staff members.

For individuals who test positive, daily check-ins with athletic training staff will continue while they remain in isolation, with additional services provided as directed by the medical and administrative staffs. Further testing and physician follow-up will be required prior to returning to any level of workouts.
