When Michael Onwenu committed to Jim Harbaugh and Michigan back in June, the process seemed to be over, especially since Michigan State hadn’t offered the four-star guard from Detroit. Two weeks before National Signing Day, the Spartans extended a scholarship to Onwenu, who happens to be high school teammates with Demetric Vance and 2017 MSU target Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Recently, rumors were circulating that the Michigan staff was trying to flip Michigan State’s top defensive end commit, Josh King. Mark Dantonio and the MSU staff seems to be getting revenge on the Wolverines — not intentionally — by offering Onwenu.
