Former Michigan State basketball star Mateen Cleaves is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he met at a charity golf outing last year. He was charged today with multiple felonies.
Cleaves is accused of taking the 24-year-old woman to a motel in Mundy Township in the early morning hours of Sept. 15, keeping her against her will and sexually assaulting her, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said in an email today.
Cleaves, 39, of Grand Blanc, was charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent to commit criminal sexual penetration, second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, prosecutors said.
