EAST LANSING - Brian Lewerke returned to the starting lineup last week and the Michigan State quarterback is expected to remain there.

Coach Mark Dantonio on Tuesday reiterated what he said following last week's 24-3 win at Maryland. Lewerke, who has an injured right throwing shoulder, is the starting quarterback as the No. 24 Spartans (6-3, 4-2 Big Ten) prepare to host No. 8 Ohio State (8-1, 5-1) on Saturday (noon, FOX).

"Brian's our starting quarterback, you can go with that - that's the foundation that he's built here," Dantonio said. "I didn't see any velocity issues relative to his arm strength.
