For the Michigan State Spartans, the running back position is one that needs to be filled and there are a couple of guys competing for it. The battle will likely be down to three, possibly four, guys when fall comes around.
Those competing for the starting role are incoming freshman L.J. Scott, redshirt sophomore Gerald Holmes, junior Delton Williams –who is currently battling legal issues — and redshirt freshman Madre London.
While Scott isn’t on campus yet and might be the most talented back of all but London took a huge step forward into locking up the starting role on Saturday afternoon in Michigan State’s second spring scrimmage.
