Former Michigan State University doctor Larry Nassar's request for a new sentencing hearing in Eaton County was denied Thursday.
Eaton County Circuit Court Judge Janice Cunningham chose to deny Nassar's motion asking for a new sentencing hearing and a new judge in his case, which concluded in February. She also denied the request from Nassar's attorneys to give Nassar credit for time served in federal prison on a separate child pornography charge.
Nassar's attorneys filed appeals in all three courts where he was sentenced in the months following convictions on sexual assault and federal child pornography charges, arguing Nassar was treated unfairly in the courtroom.
