Four years ago, Kenneth Walker III was in the middle of a magical season with Michigan State.
The Wake Forest transfer took the nation by storm, rushing for over 200 yards on multiple occasions throughout the 2021 season. He ended up winning the Walter Camp and Doak Walker awards en route to a Peach Bowl berth and 11-win season.
Walker was considered the best running back in the country by a healthy margin, and he won the awards to prove it. However, he was one of the rare Walter Camp and Doak Walker Award winners who didn’t get the invite to New York for the annual Heisman Trophy Ceremony.
