Curtis Blackwell's federal lawsuit against Mark Dantonio and other former Michigan State University employees is on its final lifeline after a magistrate judge in west Michigan recommended the dismissal of the grenade-throwing wrongful termination lawsuit.
Blackwell's lawyers made "misleading statements" and repeatedly sought "discovery on issues unrelated to the claim" since the case began in November 2018, according to a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan on Friday.
