Jayden Reed becomes the second Spartan in the NFL to suffer a serious injury in 2025

For the second time in as many weeks to start the NFL season, a former Michigan State football star has gone down with a serious injury. After Ben VanSumeren was carted off with a knee injury in the first game of the 2025 season last week, Jayden Reed suffered a broken collarbone on Thursday.

After catching a deep ball from Jordan Love in the first half of Thursday night's Packers vs. Commanders game, Reed looked to have scored a touchdown.

Reed was tackled out of the end zone, and he landed on his collarbone and immediately grabbed his shoulder in pain.
