Jalen Thompson hints that Michigan State football has ideal depth

For years now, the depth -- or lack thereof -- of Michigan State football has left a lot to be desired.

The Spartans are no strangers to injury issues and the depth has been tested heavily over the past few seasons. Unfortunately, that lack of quality depth has led to three straight bowl-less seasons and 14 total wins over the last three years. It's been a drought that we haven't quite seen since before the Mark Dantonio era and it's one that needs to end immediately.

In order for Michigan State to get back into the Big Ten title conversation, it needs to recruit at a high level, retain key players, and build depth that will lead to very little drop-off in production.
