Josiah Scott followed in the footsteps of Darqueze Dennard, Trae Waynes and Tony Lippett at Michigan State football.
He also hopes to continue their lineage of Spartans at cornerback in the NFL.
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Scott with the No. 137 overall pick in the fourth round in the 2020 NFL draft on Saturday afternoon. He's the first Spartan to be taken in this year's draft, marking 80 straight years a Spartan was selected in NFL draft.
Scott is a cerebral player whom NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah considers a Day 1 starter at nickel cornerback.
