Isaiah Jackson, state's top sophomore, garners attention from MSU and others

GRAND RAPIDS -- Isaiah Jackson was the youngest player on the floor on Friday night when The Family opened its 2018 AAU season at the Storm Classic.

But after a few dunks, made jumpers and rebounds, it was clear Jackson belonged on the court.

Jackson, who just completed his sophomore season at Old Redford Academy in Detroit, is playing a level up with the The Family's 17u team this summer.

He helped The Family take the tournament title in Grand Rapids last weekend. Now, he'll spend most of the rest of the summer competing on Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League, starting this weekend in Dallas in the first NCAA live period of 2018.
