How recency bias is restraining Michigan State football players in 2020 NFL draft

The fallout from Michigan State football’s decline in recent years settled approximately 260 miles southwest in Indianapolis late last month.

It was at the NFL scouting combine where former Spartans quarterback Brian Lewerke expressed guarded optimism about his future.

“I am looking just to get drafted,” he confessed.
