EAST LANSING — Thomas Kithier left a memorable impression on Maryland coach Mark Turgeon.

“We wanted their four man to beat us, and they subbed 15 in,” Turgeon said Monday. “We don't know his name, I apologize. He made two buckets right before half and really changed the game.”

You can bet Turgeon will learn Kithier’s name by the next time he sees him. And Tom Izzo will remember the freshman forward’s brief burst at the end of the first half of No.
