Game notes:The Spartans are one of five Big Ten teams tied for first at 3-1, but so, too, is Minnesota. The Gophers find themselves ranked, but MSU is 1-0 against Minnesota this season after the overtime win in Minneapolis on Dec. 27. MSU didn't have Miles Bridges in that game, but he's back after battling his ankle injury. It was another freshman, Nick Ward, who led the Spartans in the Big Ten opener with 22 points.
