EAST LANSING - Matt Dotson will wear No. 89 this season for Michigan State.
It's the same number the tight end had at Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, but that's about the extent of the similarities between last year and this one.
Dotson is making the transition from high school star to college freshman and knows his place in the pecking order. So, he's attempting to do everything possible to move up the ladder early.
"I try to win every rep that I'm in," he said. "Every opportunity I try to seize the moment."
