Former Spartan scores lone TD for Western Michigan against Michigan State football

Three years ago, Tate Hallock was fighting for a spot on Michigan State football's depth chart in Mel Tucker's third season. He had been with the program for a few years, but never really got his chance to play, and ultimately decided to transfer down the road to Western Michigan.

Hallock had five total tackles over two seasons of action with Michigan State, but he knew he'd have more of an opportunity to play with the Broncos, and he did.

The brother of Michigan State women's basketball star Theryn Hallock was the star of the game for Western Michigan, leading the team in tackles with nine, and he scored the only points of the game for the Broncos on a pick-six off of Alessio Milivojevic late in the fourth quarter.
