The NFL preseason is always a fun time to check in on which former Michigan State stars are playing well and which ones might surprise people and make rosters.
Unfortunately, a couple of Spartans have failed to make roster cuts so far this preseason.
Ameer Speed was cut earlier this preseason, and the Steelers recently released Kenny Willekes just days after signing him out of the UFL. Montorie Foster Jr., too, was recently released by the Seattle Seahawks after suffering an injury, but it felt like that was a roster that he could potentially flirt with making.
