Saturday night was forgettable for everyone except those who wear maize and blue. The Michigan State football program seemed to hit rock-bottom once again, losing a fifth straight game overall, and a fourth straight against Michigan in this rivalry series.
The Spartans haven’t beaten Michigan since 2021, and they even brought back Kenneth Walker III and Connor Cook to bring some good vibes back to the rivalry from the good guys’ side.
Unfortunately, those former Spartan stars were not enough.
Michigan controlled the game from the get-go, forcing a fumble on the Spartans’ first drive, and then adding a touchdown before the end of the first quarter to make it 10-0 in the blink of an eye.
