Forest Hills Central's Tate Hallock receives Michigan State offer

Tate Hallock's father played football at Michigan State University, and his brother is there now as a preferred walk-on.

MSU wants Hallock to come to Lansing, too.

Hallock, who will be a senior at Forest Hills Central in the fall, announced Thursday on Twitter that he has received a scholarship offer from the Spartans.

"Very excited to receive an offer from one of my dream schools Michigan State University," Hallock wrote.

Hallock, 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, plays receiver and defensive back for the Rangers, and he helped spark FHC to the state semifinals a year ago.
