Saturday night’s Michigan vs. Michigan State football game had everyone in the state’s attention, and it drew a nice crowd at Spartan Stadium, even if most of them were unhappy for most of the night.
Jonathan Smith had to feel the pressure in a packed Spartan Stadium as he entered the game on the hot seat, and it didn’t cool off much. Actually, it heated up after the Spartans fell behind 10-0 in the first quarter, and then 24-7 in the third quarter. The game was out of hand early on.
Michigan State did pull within three at halftime, but those three points felt like about three touchdowns because Michigan was getting the ball after halftime.
