Michigan State football reached an agreement in principle to hire Colorado's Mel Tucker as its 25th head coach, The Athletic's Bruce Feldman reported Wednesday.
The news was the final twist in a wild coaching search that began like a romance novel and ended like an M. Night Shyamalan movie.
