DALLAS – Rowan Fitzsimmons should be considered orally committed to attend Michigan State University until further notice.
Although she’s only 9 years old, Rowan may someday compete in soccer, golf, volleyball, basketball or track and field for the Spartans.
And if she plays a sport, or even just walks across the tree-lined campus tall and strong between classes, it will be due in part to the inspiration she received from MSU coach Mark Dantonio a year ago and the bond she formed with him and the Spartan football team since last season’s Cotton Bowl.
