What a successful weekend it was for Michigan State fans. The hockey team completed a two-game sweep of the No. 3 team in the country at Munn while the hoops team beat No. 14 Arkansas 69-66 to improve to 2-0 on the young season.
The Spartans picked up a nice win over John Calipari’s talented Arkansas team, controlling the tempo of the entire game, and a couple of young guys stood out.
Jordan Scott had six points and seven big rebounds while Cam Ward had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Coen Carr led the way for the upperclassmen, finishing with 15 points and seven rebounds.
