A little over a week after the big decision to come to Michigan State happened, Caleb Swanigan has been an open book as to why he chose Tom Izzo and the Spartans.
First of all, he loves the winning atmosphere that Michigan State possesses and a Final Four run this season by the Spartans probably didn’t hurt their chances to get the five-star big man. He had been impressed with Izzo’s winning culture before the NCAA Tournament and a Final Four solidified his decision.
The 6-foot-9, 265-pound five-star recruit is one of the top 15 players in his class and a big guy who has the size and aggressiveness to be able to compete collegiately right away.
