Jonathan Smith and Michigan State football are leaning into a local pipeline for some 2026 and 2027 class targets who happen to be from the same family and actually have a brother on the team.
Earlier this summer, Michigan State landed four-star receiver Samson Gash from Detroit (Mich.) Catholic Central with the hopes of also landing his younger brother, four-star defensive back Gideon Gash, a 2027 class blue-chipper.
What's going to help the Spartans' chances with the youngest Gash? Probably the fact that his older brothers are connected to Michigan State already.
Caleb Gash is the oldest of the three brothers and he's heading into his redshirt sophomore season with the Spartans, primarily playing special teams.
