Despite only returning three starters on both sides of the ball, the rebuilt Ohio State Buckeyes are the Big Ten's media preseason pick to win the conference championship this season.
A poll of sports writers from every Big Ten city netted 27 votes for OSU, 11 for Michigan and one for Iowa.
The poll was conducted by the Cleveland Plain Dealer, which carried on the tradition after the Big Ten itself stopped conducting the preseason survey. Detroit Free Press reporter Mark Snyder participated.
Voters picked full standings in each division, with seven points for a first-place vote down to one point for a seventh-place vote.
