'Big target' Keon Coleman looks for breakout season in Michigan State receiver corps

East Lansing — Keon Coleman has already proven himself capable of playing both football and basketball at Michigan State.

To the 6-foot-4, 210-pound sophomore from Louisiana, however, there is one role he’s happy to avoid — being a defensive coordinator trying to game plan for the Spartans’ offense.

“They’re gonna be in a panic trying to game plan against us,” Coleman declared.

It’s quite the statement about what the Michigan State offense might become this fall, and one that might seem like a bit of grand-standing, considering the fact the Spartans won’t have Kenneth Walker III to hand the ball off to and the fact wide receiver Jalen Nailor joined the star running back by entering last spring’s NFL Draft.
