EAST LANSING – Michigan State national champion men's basketball player Charlie Bell and Rose Bowl-winning football player Andre Rison highlight the 2015 class of the MSU Athletics Hall of Fame.
Bell and Rison will be joined by Mary Kay Itnyre (women's basketball), Pat Milkovich (wrestling), Doug Weaver (athletics director/football) and Mike York (hockey) in the six-member class. They will be inducted during the "Celebrate 2015" weekend on Sept. 17, then honored during the MSU-Air Force football game Sept. 19.
They also will take part in the 100th anniversary of the Varsity S Club banquet that Friday.
"What strikes me is that these former student-athletes not only achieved individual success, but they excelled on some outstanding teams," MSU athletic director Mark Hollis said in a release.
